Safe Harbor Principles

      "Please find below submissions received by the Department of Commerce in response to Amb.David Aaron's November 4, 1998 letter requesting comments on the "draft international safe harbor principles," developed to address issues of transborder data flows raised by the European Commission's Directive on Data Protection. In the interest of making these comments available quickly, only those received electronically are posted here at this time. The rest will be added as soon as possible.
