Request for Comments on Technical Input on Standards Issues and Foreign Markets and Invite to Attend

an Open Roundtable Standards Discussion [FRN dated September 24, 2003, Vol. 68, No. 185,

Pages 55287-89]  The Department of Commerce requests industry comments on pressing standards issues

and priority foreign markets.  As part of the Department’s Secretarial Initiative to Enhance Commerce

Department Standards Activities, the Department is currently conducting a series of industry roundtables,

seeking comments on barriers in export markets caused by foreign government’s policies on standards and

technical regulatory requirements.  Comments are due by November 1, 2003.

 

Request for Comments on the Implications for U.S. Commercial Interests of Korea’s Intellectual Property

Acts, Policies, and Practices in Conjunction with the Fall 2003 Special 301 Korea Out-of-Cycle Review (OCR)

[FRN dated October 3, Vol. 68, No. 192, Page 57503] Comments should be received by no later than  noon,

 October 27, 2003.  Please refer to FR notice on where and to whom to submit comments.

 

            Request for Comments on the interim environmental review of the proposed U.S.-Morocco Free Trade
Agreement (FTA) [FRN dated October 3, Vol. 68, No. 192, Page 57503-57504]. 
The interim environmental review is available at  http://www.ustr.gov/environment/environmental.shtml.
 Copies of the review will also be sent to interested members of the public by mail  upon request. 
Please refer to the FR notice on where and to whom to submit comments by no later than October 13, 2003.

Request for Comments on Implications for U.S. Commercial Interests of the Accession to the European Union of Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Cyprus, and Malta (Accession Countries) [FRN dated September 16, 2003, Vol. 68, Number 179]  The Trade Policy Staff Committee gives notice that the Office of the United States Trade Representative requests written submissions from the public concerning the implications for U.S. trade in goods and services of the anticipated May 2004 enlargement of the European Union to include the aforementioned countries.  Comments should be received by no later than  noon thirty days after date of publication (October 16, 2003).

Request for Comments on Market Access Implications for U.S. Trade in Services of the Accession to the European Union of Austria, Finland, and Sweden [FRN dated August 20, 2003, Vol. 68, Number 161] The interagency Trade Policy Staff Committee (TPSC) requests written submissions from the public concerning the market access implications for U.S. trade in services of the 1995 enlargement of the European Union to include Austria, Finland, and Sweden.  Comments should be received no later than September 30, 2003.

Request for Comments on Duty Drawback and Deferral in Free Trade Agreement­ - The interagency Trade Policy Staff Committee (TPSC) seeks public comment on treatment of duty drawback and deferral regimes in free trade agreement (FTA) negotiations currently underway with Central America, Australia, Morocco, the Southern African Customs Union, and the countries participating in the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA). Comments should be received no later than noon July 30, 2003.
