Summary
Regional Export Conferencing Network (RECoN) is an advanced video-conference and data transmission network, designed to enhance federal, state, and private sector teamwork, to achieve success in the international marketplace. It connects the new U.S. Export Assistance Center and GDITT in Atlanta, with over 300 video-conference sites throughout the state and in 10 overseas countries. RECoN also supports an array of new and innovative services to help the business community develop, maintain, and expand its export sales. This pilot network also provides a useful testbed for advanced electronic commerce services before their full-scale global deployment by USDOC.
