Summary
The Garment Industry Development Corporation (GIDC)
is a non-profit organization established to promote New York City's (NYC) fashion
district. GIDC will promote NYC apparel by (1) creating a virtual showroom on
the Internet; (2) providing individual assistance to NYC exporters & foreign
buyers visiting NYC; (3) preparing exporters for trade missions and fashion
shows; and (4) marketing NYC apparel through market-specific catalogs, foreign
advertising, and public relations campaigns.
