Trail Blazing Association's Presence in India Beginning to Pay Off

By June of 2008, NPES, The Association of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies, has seen $53,741,100 in U.S. exports to India since the end of 2004. That is when NPES began its MDCP partnership with ITA.

Although substantial barriers to imports from the United States remain for this industry, NPES is committed to capitalizing on this huge market. As Delhi-based U.S. Commercial Officer Dale Tasharski has pointed out to industry executives, on the whole, U.S. market development activity is bearing fruit. From about 10 U.S. trade missions to India in 2006, the total for 2008 is expected to be well over 100. The increase in U.S. industry's interest in India is paying off in exports as well. Between 2004 and 2006, total U.S. exports to India grew by about 65 percent. Between 2006 and 2008, the increase will be well over 100 percent. See NPES.in for more information.
