Summary
The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM,
formerly CIMA) is a trade association representing American manufacturers of
construction equipment. AEM will promote exports by (1) creating an online strategic
information system that will include the following: (a) infrastructure project
notices, (b) trade barrier reports, (c) a trade show database, (d) an email
newsletter including information from Ex-Im Bank, the Commerce Department, company
success stories, and other items of interest such as economic reports; and (2)
creating a Latin America "desk" which will coordinate participation in technical
seminars, initiate market research, and arrange other market development tools
such as Agent Distributor Services from the U.S. Commercial Service.
