Summary
NPES's 460 members comprise 80% of the U.S. graphic media communication technologies
industries. The organization will capitalize on the explosion of electronic
commerce and tariff reductions resulting from China's accession to the World
Trade Organization. NPES will open an office in Shanghai, develop a Mandarin/English,
e-distribution database
with U.S. product information; identify agents and distributors for U.S. firms,
provide ongoing technical support, set up online services for established dealer
networks, and conduct online conferencing, training and demonstrations.
