Data users interested in Bureau of the Census products
can contact various locations throughout the country. These include:
Depository Libraries: The Federal depository library program
includes over 1300 libraries that receive publications from numerous
Federal agencies.
State Data Center Program: The Bureau of the Census provides
statistical products to states, which then disseminate the products
within the state. Training in data access and use, technical assistance,
and consultation also are provided.
National Clearinghouse: This is a referral service for data
users needing special assistance in obtaining and using statistical
information from the Bureau of the Census.
U.S. Department of Commerce District Offices: These provide
statistical related services to businesses and other users in many
large cities.
Bureau of the Census Regional Information Services: Information
services specialists in the Bureau regional offices provide educational,
inquiry, and reference services to data users.
Bureau of the Census Washington: Headquarters staff regularly
conduct seminars and workshops on major Bureau programs. In addition,
numerous subject-matter specialists are available for telephone consultation.
